A spokesperson for Archewell Audio—Meghan and Prince Harry’s production company—said that the Duchess of Sussex’s debut podcast, which People describes as ‘groundbreaking’, will hit the airwaves this summer. It’s just over a year since Meghan and Prince Harry signed a deal with Spotify rumored to be worth $25 million. We don’t know exactly what Meghan will be talking about on her series, but her representative said that she aims to combat the spread of misinformation. Back in January, it was revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had expressed concerns to Spotify over the misinformation about COVID-19 and the vaccine on its platform. Their spokesperson said, “We have continued to express our concerns to Spotify to ensure changes to its platform are made to help address this public health crisis.” Meghan and Harry have only released one podcast episode so far, which aired at the end of 2020 and whose guests included Elton John, Brené Brown, and Tyler Perry—and their own son! The adorable clip of Archie speaking in public for the first time came towards the end of the 35-minute podcast, with Harry advising his son to speak into the microphone. Movingly, Harry and Meghan also played a recording of the song ‘This Little Light of Mine’, which rang through St George’s Chapel on the day of their wedding in May 2018. It’s a song “that means to much to us”, Harry said, adding that its message “is one we hold so dearly.” Meghan said the gospel song “played at the very end of our wedding, while we were walking down the steps of the church,” and went on, “It was the music that we wanted playing when we started our lives together. Because as we all know, darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that.” Next up, Archie and Baby Lili Are the Stars of Meghan and Harry’s 2021 Christmas Card!
